Addit3D 2020 will bring together the latest technology breakthroughs in additive and 3D manufacturing

  • It will take place from 25 to 29 May next year alongside BIEMH, the International Machine-Tool Biennial Exhibition
  • ADDIT3D is the only professional industrial fair in Spain for additive manufacturing and 3D printing

The most innovative industrial solutions in additive manufacturing and 3D printing will star in ADDIT3D, which celebrates its fifth edition from 25 to 29 May 2020 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. The International Trade Shown on Additive and 3D Manufacturing will take place alongside BIEMH, forming a reference space for Industry 4.0, with synergies and interesting business opportunities at all levels.

The event takes place within the context of a sector that is continuously growing, with a growth rate in Spain that is estimated to be 20.6% until 2022; a sector in which additive technology has become an alternative with great potential, offering significant possibilities to all industrial sectors and solutions that are more efficient and customised than other technologies on the market. In this sense, ADDIT3D, the only professional industrial fair in Spain for additive manufacturing and 3D printing, has been able to evolve in parallel with the sector. This evolution has allowed it to develop and improve quantitatively, but also qualitatively.

The Spanish industrial sector includes large OMS companies and a broad network of parts and components manufacturers who are fully aware of the relevance of including additive manufacturing in their production processes. Therefore, they visit ADDIT3D in search of tailor-made solutions to their needs. Visitors to the last edition included representatives from companies such as CAF, Bombardier, European Holding, Mercedes Benz España, Grupo ITP, Patentes Talgo, EvoBus, Grupo Gestamp, Alestis Aerospace, Grupo Volkswagen – Seat, DanobatGroup and Aernnova.

A total of 102 exhibiting companies displayed their latest developments in 2019, which were mainly related to ‘systems and machinery’, ‘industrial applications’ and ‘materials’. All these sectors will once again be represented in the exhibition area for this edition. They will offer tailor-made solutions in strategic areas such as the automotive, aerospace and aeronautics, industrial tooling, energy generation, railways, dies, machine tools, packaging, defence and medical – prosthetics.

ADDIT3D 2020 will combine the exhibition and product presentation area with a conference, therefore turning into a space to find information, analyse technologies and markets, study opportunities and internationally promote companies and products. Thus, through an extensive programme of technical conferences called Additive Talks, representatives of leading companies will tackle the major challenges and trends in the sector, contributing their own experiences and presenting their success stories in person. In addition, the participating firms will be able to show their technical and commercial proposals at the Innovation Workshops, short presentations of around ten minutes which will take place at the Speakers’ Corner area in the exhibition hall itself.

ADDIT3D is organised by ADDIMAT, the Spanish Association for Additive and 3D Manufacturing Technologies, and Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
