Presentation of industry events

Industry will thrive at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 6th to 8th June thanks to the parallel hosting of Ferroforma, Subcontratación, Addit3D, Pumps & Valves Maintenance and Fitmaq, along with Workinn and Polveri & ecoCoating, another two events related to the industrial sectors. Over 1200 exhibiting firms from all over the world will participate in this great platform, which will be inspired on the principles of Industry 4.0 to offer innovations in key sectors such as additive manufacturing and 3D printing, industrial subcontracting, hardware, industrial supplies and DIY, pumps and valves, maintenance, second-hand machine-tooling and industrial jobs.

The sum of these six events in a single space will offer a full journey through the most advanced industry, where visiting professionals are will be able to find customised solutions in manufacturing processes, the latest technologies, supplies and tools, as well as equipment for industrial processes and products for the maintenance of assets and facilities. It will be the biggest meeting point devoted to Smart Manufacturing which will be held in our country this year, and in which commercial exhibitions will be combined with technical seminars, live presentations, workshops and international programmes of B2B meetings in Halls 1,2,3 and 5 of the Basque exhibition centre.

Over 18,500 professionals from 65 countries came to this multiple meeting in 2015, when the sum of industrial events promoted very interesting synergies and fostered new channels of collaboration between different sectors and companies. This year, industry will be consolidated with even more force, if possible, with the incorporation of Workinn, industrial job forum, Polveri & ecoCoating, space devoted to surface coatings, and Addit3D, fair devoted to additive manufacturing technologies and 3D printing, whose advance is unstoppable.

ADDIT3D: A key space for the future of industry

The additive manufacturing and 3D printing sector is experiencing rapid growth with technological developments that have already positioned it prominently in the field of Industry 4.0, transforming production processes of the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution. Clients are demanding high quality and personalised products, with a reduced production time. In this context, ADDIT3D, the only solely professional trade fair focusing on this field in Spain, is reinforced as a key space to seek specific applications for those professionals in the initial phase of incorporating this technology and those working with it but who need more advanced developments.

With 87 exhibiting firms, the International Trade Show on Additive and 3D Manufacturing has exceeded all participation expectations and surface area established for 2017. In just two editions, the event has evolved at breakneck speed, in parallel with the sector itself, which is gaining in intensity and complexity. Indeed, innovation in additive manufacturing and 3D presented by the companies this year reveal and increasingly wider use of these new technologies and they are mainly related to materials, applications and equipment.

Among the innovative products registered in the Directory, the following stand out:Prodysol 3D CPI-02 PRO printer equipped with two headers, offering the possibility to print in two colours or in different materials; the PLA Luminescent by Electronshark, 12 times stronger than a normal PLA; the PVA water soluble filament by Electronshark; the new Stratasys J750 Printer by Pixel Sistemas, which allows the use of many full colour materials, the Stratasys F370 Printer by Comher, for the production of precise and reliable prototypes for the verification of concepts, validation of the design and verification of their functional performance functional; the new Onyx filament, with carbon fibre to improve the finish, by Markforged presented by AyS, the global solution for Additive Manufacturing Engineers and Additive Manufacturing Programmers integrated with the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform by T-SYSTEMS Iberia & Dassault Systémes the Jet Fusion Printer by HP with exclusive technology, which provides high quality physical pieces, up to ten times faster and at half the cost of other traditional 3D printing methods. Leading companies with extensive experience in the equipment sector will participate in the exhibition with printers and additive manufacturing machines manufacturers of parts and software companies, consumables and applications and entities related to research and development.

The technical conferences will address the great challenges and trends of the sector, analysing specific applications in extremely diverse fields. Around 30 speakers from innovative companies in the sector will present the latest on new strategies in the design and manufacture of complex parts, new applications in 3D printing and advances towards digitalisation thanks to 3D printing. Topics of interest such as “Biomodels for Surgery”, “The applications of additive manufacturing in the footwear industry”, “Additive manufacturing in Industry 4.0: digitalisation of factories”, “Use of laser applications in the repair and manufacture of moulds and matrices”, “Use of additive polymeric components in nano satellites”, among others are included in the programme.
